- Since January 1, 1998, garage operators must register with the Nevada DMV (NRS 487.560).
- A garage that knowingly fails to register, renew, or keep its required bond cannot enforce a lien or sue for repairs made during that time (NRS 487.567).
- Registered garages must post a sign at least 22 by 28 inches with the Nevada Automotive Repair Customer Bill of Rights (NRS 487.6871).
